Description
Indicated in:
Bovines: For the treatment of mastitis caused by Streptococcus sp. and Staphylococcus sp.; Calf diphtheria and necrotic pododermatitis caused by Fusobacterium necrophorum; Pneumonia associated with Pasteurella multocida and metritis caused by Arcanobacterium pyogenes.
Porcines: for the treatment of pneumonia caused by Pasteurella multocida and Arcanobacterium pyogenes; erysipelas caused by Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae; dysentery associated with Treponema hyodisenteriae and Campylobacter sp.; arthritis caused by Mycoplasma hyosinoviae and Staphylococcus sp.
Guaranteed composition:
Each mL of solution for injection contains:
- Tylosin (as tartrate) 200 mg
- Excipients q.s. 1 mL
Species for which it is recommended:
Bovines and porcines.
Administration route:
Administer in bovines by intramuscular or slow intravenous route. In porcines it is recommended to administer only intramuscularly.
Dosage:
In bovines and porcines 10 mg per kg of live weight, in practice 1 mL for every 20 kg of body weight.
It is recommended to apply every 24 hours for 3 – 5 days, other indications and frequency at the discretion of the veterinarian.
Withdrawal time:
- Treated animals should not be sacrificed for human consumption until 8 days after the end of treatment.
- The milk produced during the treatment and 96 hours after the end of it should not be given for human consumption.
Cautions:
- The treatment should not be extended for more than 5 days in cattle and 3 days in pigs.
- In bovines, do not apply more than 10 mL per application site.
- In porcines, do not apply more than 5 mL per application site.
- Keep at a temperature below 30 °C, protected from sunlight.
