Description
Injectable solution containing (Florfenicol), which is a synthetic spectrum antibiotic and active against gram positive and gram negative bacteria.
The (Florfenicol) acts by inhibiting the synthesis of bacterial protein, at the level of the ribosomes.
Indications:
- In bovines for the treatment of:
- Bovine respiratory complex caused by: Pasteurella multocida, Mannheimia (Pasteurella haemolytica), Haemophilus somnus.
- Metritis: Corynebacterium pyogenes.
- Infectious gastroenteritis caused by: Escherichia coli, Salmonella sp.
- Infectious poweritis caused by: Fusobacterium necrophorum, Bacteroides melaninogenicus.
- In porcines for the treatment of:
- Pneumonia, Pleuropneumonia and Rinits caused by: Mycoplasma sp, Pasteurella multocida, Haemophilus parasuis, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae.
- Infectious gastroenteritis caused by: Escherichia coli, Salmonella sp.
Guaranteed composition:
Each mL of solution for injection contains:
- Florfenicol 300 mg
- Excipients q.s. 1 mL
Administration route:
Intramuscular route.
Dosage:
- Bovines: administer 20 mg of Florfenicol per kg of body weight, in practice apply 1 mL of FIFENICOL for every 15 kg, repeat the dose after 48 hours.
- Porcines: administer 15 mg of Florfenicol per kg of body weight, in practice apply 1 mL of FIFENICOL for every 20 kg, repeat the dose after 48 hours.
Withdrawal time:
- Treated animals should not be sacrificed for human consumption until 36 days after the end of treatment.
- Do not administer in cows whose milk is intended for human consumption.
Cautions:
- Hypersensitivity to the components of the product.
- Do not apply more than 20 mL to cattle and no more than 3 mL to pigs per injection site.
- Keep below 30 °C.
