Indicated in the treatment of clinical and subclinical mastitis during lactation, caused by: Corynebacterium sp., Streptococcus sp., Staphylococcus sp., Escherichia coli, Proteus sp., Klebsiella sp., Mycoplasma sp.<\/em><\/p>\n

Masleg L is composed of two broad spectrum bactericidal synergistic antibiotics, spiramycin and neomycin, with a synthetic glucocorticoid anti-inflammatory drug such as prednisolone; in therapeutic concentrations, for the treatment of mastitis in lactation period.<\/p>\n

Each Syringe for 10 mL of intramammary solution contains:<\/p>\n

  • Spiramycin adipate 294 mg
    \n(Equivalent in spiramycin base 250 mg)<\/li>\n
  • Neomycin sulfate 296 mg
    \n(Equivalent to neomycin base 200 mg)<\/li>\n
  • Prednisolone sodium phosphate 6,8 mg
    \n(Equivalent in prednisolone base 5 mg)<\/li>\n
  • Excipients q.s. 10 mL<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Intramammary.<\/p>\n

    Dosage: <\/strong><\/h5>\n

    Thoroughly milk, clean, disinfect and dry the teat of the affected quarter; infuse the entire contents of the syringe (10 mL) by introducing the first portion of the cannula, into the duct of the nipple. Make a gentle upward massage, to ensure the distribution of the medicine. Repeat the application at the end of each of the following milkings until completing 3 – 5 applications; or at the discretion of the veterinarian.<\/p>\n

    Withdrawal time:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    • Treated animals should not be sacrificed for human consumption until 16 days after the end of treatment.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • The milk produced during the treatment and 120 hours after the end of it, should not be given for human consumption.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      • Do not administer during the last third of pregnancy.<\/li>\n
      • Keep in a cool, dry place at a temperature below 25 \u00b0 C protected from sunlight.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
