Description
Indicated in the treatment of clinical and subclinical mastitis during lactation, caused by: Corynebacterium sp., Streptococcus sp., Staphylococcus sp., Escherichia coli, Proteus sp., Klebsiella sp., Mycoplasma sp.
Masleg L is composed of two broad spectrum bactericidal synergistic antibiotics, spiramycin and neomycin, with a synthetic glucocorticoid anti-inflammatory drug such as prednisolone; in therapeutic concentrations, for the treatment of mastitis in lactation period.
Guaranteed gomposition:
Each Syringe for 10 mL of intramammary solution contains:
- Spiramycin adipate 294 mg
(Equivalent in spiramycin base 250 mg) - Neomycin sulfate 296 mg
(Equivalent to neomycin base 200 mg) - Prednisolone sodium phosphate 6,8 mg
(Equivalent in prednisolone base 5 mg) - Excipients q.s. 10 mL
Administration route:
Intramammary.
Dosage:
Thoroughly milk, clean, disinfect and dry the teat of the affected quarter; infuse the entire contents of the syringe (10 mL) by introducing the first portion of the cannula, into the duct of the nipple. Make a gentle upward massage, to ensure the distribution of the medicine. Repeat the application at the end of each of the following milkings until completing 3 – 5 applications; or at the discretion of the veterinarian.
Withdrawal time:
- Treated animals should not be sacrificed for human consumption until 16 days after the end of treatment.
- The milk produced during the treatment and 120 hours after the end of it, should not be given for human consumption.
Cautions:
- Do not administer during the last third of pregnancy.
- Keep in a cool, dry place at a temperature below 25 ° C protected from sunlight.
