Description
Long-acting endectocide antiparasitic, indicated for the treatment and control of gastrointestinal nematodes, lung parasites, nuche, lice, scabies mites, ticks and myiasis.
In bovines for the treatment and control of:
- Gastrointestinal parasites: Ostertagia ostertagi (including its inhibited form), O. lyrata, Haemonchus placei, Mecistocirrus digitatus (adults), Trichostrongylus axei, T. colubriformis, Cooperia oncophora, Cooperia punctata, C. pectinata, Bunostomum phlebotomum (adults and L4), Oesophagostomum radiatum, Nematodirus helvetianus (adults), N. spathiger (adults), Strongyloides papillosus (adults), Toxocara vitulorum (adults).
- Lung parasite: Dictyocaulus viviparus (adults and larvae).
- Other nematodes: Parafilaria bovicola, Thelazia sp. (Adults).
- External parasites: Nuche: Dermatobia hominis, Hypoderma bovis. Sucking lice: Linognathus vituli, Haematopinus eurysternus, Solenopotes capillatus. Chewing lice: helps in the control of Damalinia bovis. Scabies mites: Psoroptes comunis var. bovis, Sarcoptes scabiei var. bovis and helps in the control of Chorioptes bovis. Myiasis: Cochliomyia hominivorax. Ticks: Rhipicephalus microplus.
Guaranteed composition:
Each mL of solution for injection contains:
- Ivermectin 31,5 mg
- Excipients q.s. 1 mL
Species for which it is recommended:
Bovines (calves, steers/heifers, bulls/non-lactating cows).
Administration route:
Subcutaneous only. Using 16 gauge needle.
Dosage:
In bovines 630 µg of ivermectin / kg of live weight. In practice, 1 mL of IVERFIGA 3,15% L.A. for every 50 kg of body weight.

For more than 300 kg, administer 1 mL for every 50 kg of weight.
Withdrawal time:
- Treated animals should not be sacrificed for human consumption until 122 days after the end of treatment.
- Do not administer to cows producing milk for human consumption, or in the 122 days before parturition.
Persistence:
IVERFIGA 3.15% L.A. contributes to the control of reinfestation of the following parasites: Haemonchus placei, Trichostrongylus axei and Cooperia sp. for 42 days; Ostertagia ostertagi and Oesophagostomum radiatum for 49 days; Dictyocaulus viviparus for 63 days; ticks of the genus Rhipicephalus microplus for 75 days; Psoroptes communis var bovis for 56 days; Dermatobia hominis (nuche or torsalo) for 140 days, during this period of time the number of lesions observed will have a reduction of more than 90% compared to the control without treatment.
Cautions:
- Do not apply intravenously.
- Do not apply more than 10 mL per injection site.
- Do not reuse the containers, nor pour their contents into sources of water for human or animal consumption (streams, lakes or rivers).
- Keep at a temperature below 30 °C, protected from sunlight.
Warnings:
- Do not use in cows that are close to calving or breeding, given the sensitivity of neonates to ivermectin.
- Do not administer to calves less than three months of age, as alterations in the CNS and damage to the esophagus may result.
Drug Interactions:
The concomitant use of GABA agonists, such as barbiturates and benzodiazepines, is not recommended due to the potentiation of their effects.
