HEMOFIG B12

Description

Synergy between antiprotozoal activity of diminacene diaceturate, with the antibiotic of Oxytetracycline for the control of opportunistic or recurrent infections, an antianemic agent such as Vitamin B12 and antipyrine for the control of fever.

Indicated for the control and treatment of anaplasmosis (Anaplasma sp.), babesiosis (Babesia bigemina, B. bovis, B. equi, B. caballi, B. ovis, B. canis) and trypanosomosis (Trypanosoma evansi, T. vivax)

Guaranteed composition:

Each mL of solution for injection contains:

• Oxytetracycline base 100 mg
• Diminazene diaceturate 43 mg
• Antipyrine 175 mg
• Vitamin B12 40 μg
• Excipients c.s.p. 1 mL

Species for which it is recommended:

Bovines, equines, dogs, ovines and caprines.

Dosage:

Apply exclusively intramuscularly at a dose of 1 mL of Hemofig B12 per 13 kg of weight in a single application. In areas of high incidence, or depending on the clinical case, repeat the treatment according to the criteria of the Veterinarian.

The dose required for each kg of live weight is 3.3 mg of Diminazene Diaceturate, 7.7 mg of Oxytetracycline, 13.4 mg of Antipyrine and 3 μg of Cyanocobalamin (Vitamin B12).

Withdrawal time:

• Treated animals should not be sacrificed for human consumption until 21 days after the end of treatment.
• The milk produced during the treatment and 6 days after the end of it should not be given for human consumption.

Cautions:

• It should not be applied intravenously, its application can cause hypotension.
• Do not apply more than 10 mL per injection site.
• In dogs they are susceptible to the side effects of diaceturate then do not use doses higher than 10 mg / kg (equivalent to 3 times the recommended dose). The signs of intoxication appear 24 hours after administration and are of the nervous type, presenting hyperesthesia, opisthotonos and seizures.
• Symptoms disappear with symptomatic treatment.
• In horses, divide the dose and apply it with an interval of 1 to 2 hours to avoid symptoms similar to colic.
• Keep at a temperature below 30°C, protected from sunlight.
